South Korean Foreign Minister Meets Cambodian PM
Phnom Penh (10 November 2025): During a meeting between Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet and H.E. Cho Hyun, South Korean Minister of Foreign Affairs, on Monday in Phnom Penh, the two sides agreed to continue strengthening and expanding their bilateral cooperation.
The two nations also signed a memorandum of understanding on the establishment of a Cambodia-Korea joint task force to combat crimes involving Korean citizens in Cambodia.
During the meeting, Hun Manet appreciated and thanked the Government of the Republic of Korea for always caring and providing warmth to Cambodian citizens living and working in the Republic of Korea while safety and well-being of Korean citizens living and working in Cambodia are also a high priority of the Royal Government of Cambodia.
The two sides also discussed the continued strengthening and expansion of Cambodia-Korea bilateral cooperation in a number of important areas, including: economy, investment, trade, national defense and security, industry, the establishment of special economic zones for Korean enterprises, people-to-people exchanges, and the promotion of tourism between the two countries, aiming to strengthen bilateral cooperation even closer for the greater benefit of the people of both countries.
