NEW BOOK: Hun Sen – Politics & power in the Khmer history for over 40 years

The book describes events briefly on politics and power, including other social issues, have occurred in the Cambodian history in four regimes between 1970 and early 2012.

The regimes are Khmer Republic (1970-75), The Democratic of Kampuchea (1975-1979), The People’s Republic of Kampuchea and The State of Cambodia (1979-1991), The transitional period under the UN control (1991-1993), and the second Kingdom of Cambodia (September 1993 – early 2012).

Moreover, this history book also provide the readers information on life & love and some works regarding to politics and power of Prime Minister Hun Sun and other top country leaders during over the past 40 years.

Although the book cannot describe everything happened for more than 40 years, the over 350-page book shows the both bitter and sweet situation in the Cambodian history.

The author spent more than one year to write this book after over 10-year collecting documents. The writing was done in both country and outside the country and sometimes did it on bus, train and plane during travelling. The contents in the book include my memory, notes and experiences since the author started work in 1990, including his research from paper, sound, photos, video, and website. Moreover, the including of the author’s exclusive interviews on phone with Premier Hun Sen and other public interviews among other journalists.

The book portrays on main political figures in the Cambodian society such as former King Norodom Sihanouk and his royal family members, Son San, Lon Nol, top Khmer Rouge leaders, Sam Rainsy, and Kem Sokha,.. The book also shows the cross-cutting involvement in the Cambodian conflicts and politics of foreign countries such as the US, Britain, China, Russia and their allies, including members of ASEAN nations.

ជាង​នេះ​ទៅ​ទៀត សៀវភៅ​​​ប្រវត្តិសាស្រ្តនេះ​ក៏​ចង់​​​បង្ហាញ​​ជូន​ដល់​​​មិត្ត​អ្នក​អាន​ពី​ដំណើរ​​ជីវិត​ស្នេហា និង​​ជីវិត​គ្រួសារ ព្រម​ទាំង​​ការ​ងារ​​គ្រប់គ្រង​​នយោបាយ និង​​អំណាច​​ខ្លះៗ​​​របស់​​សម្ដេច​​តេជោ ហ៊ុន សែន ​និង​​​មេ​ដឹក​នាំ​ប្រទេស​កំពូលៗមួយ​ចំនួន​ទៀត​ក្នុង​រយៈពេល​ជាង ៤០ ឆ្នាំ ​​មក​​នេះ។    សៀវភៅ​នេះ​​ក៏​បាន​ផ្ដោត​លើ​ឥស្សរជន​នយោបាយ​សំខាន់ៗ​ជាច្រើន​នៅ​ក្នុង​សង្គម​កម្ពុជា​ដូចជា ព្រះមហា​វីរក្សត្រ នរោត្តម សីហនុ ​និង​​សមាជិក​រាជវង្សានុវង្ស​​មួយ​​ចំនួន សម្តេច សឺន សាន លោក លន់ នល់ មេដឹក​កំពូលៗ​​របស់​នាំ​ខ្មែរ​ក្រហម​ ព្រម​ទាំង​ឯកឧត្ដម សម រង្ស៊ី និង ឯកឧត្ដម ​កឹម សុខា ជាដើម ។ សៀវភៅ​នេះ​ក៏​បានបង្ហាញ​​ពី​បណ្តា​​​ប្រទេស​​ដែលបាន​ប្រទាក់​​ក្រឡា​គ្នា​​នឹង​ជម្លោះ​នៅ​កម្ពុជា​ ដូចជា អាមេរិក អង់គ្លេស ចិន រុស្សី និងពួក​​​​សម្ព័ន្ធមិត្ត ព្រម​ទាំង​​​បណ្ដា​ប្រទេសជា​សមាជិក​​​អាស៊ាន។អ្នក​និពន្ធ​បានចំណយ​ពេល​ពី​ការងារ​ប្រមាណ​ជាង​មួយ​ឆ្នាំ ដើម្បី​ចង​ក្រង​​​សៀវភៅ​នេះ​ឡើង បន្ទាប់​​ពី​ប្រមូល​ឯកសារ​ទុក​អស់​រយៈ​ពេល​ជាង ១០ ឆ្នាំ រួច​មក។ ការ​សរសេរ​នេះ​បាន​ធ្វើ​ឡើង​ទាំង​​នៅ​ក្នុង​​​ប្រទេស​និង​ក្រៅ​ប្រទេស ដោយ​​​ពេល​ខ្លះ​បាន​សរសេរ​នៅ​ពេល​​​ជិះ​រថយន្ត​ក្រុង ​រថភ្លើង និង​យន្ត​ហោះ​កំពុង​ធ្វើ​ដំណើរ។ ខ្លឹមសារ​នៅ​ក្នុង​​សៀវភៅ​នេះ​បាន​បញ្ចូល​ពី​អ្វី​ដែល​ជា​ការ​​ចង​ចាំ ​​កំណត់ត្រា​និង​បទ​ពិសោធន៍​ផ្ទាល់​របស់​ខ្ញុំ​ចាប់​តាំង​ពី​ពេល​ដែល​ខ្ញុំ​បាន​បម្រើ​ការ​​ងារ​ពី​ឆ្នាំ ១៩៩០ មក ដោយ​រួម​ទាំង​​ការ​ស្រាវ​ជ្រាវ​ឯកសារ​ទាំង​ក្រដាស ទាំង​សំឡេង រូប​ភាព ​វីដេអូ ​និង​គេហទំព័រ។​ ​ជាង​នេះ​ទៅ​ទៀត ​គឺ​ការ​​បញ្ចូល​កំណត់ត្រា​របស់​អ្នកនិពន្ធ​នៅ​ក្នុង​កិច្ច​សម្ភាសន៍​ជា​​​មួយ​លោក​នាយក​រដ្ឋមន្រ្តី ហ៊ុន សែន ក្នុង​ចំណោម​ក្រុម​អ្នក​​សារព័ត៌​មាន​​ផង និង​​​​កិច្ច​សម្ភាសន៍​ដោយ​​ឡែក​​រវាង អ្នកនិពន្ធដោយ​ផ្ទាល់ និង​លោក​តាម​ទូរស័ព្ទ​ផង។
