Cambodia and Turkey Can Deal Trade with US$1 billions
Phnom Penh (6 November 2025): Cambodia and Turkey have discussed the possibility of strengthening trade and investment cooperation to increase bilateral trade to $1 billion for the interests of the two nations.
Speaking at the sideline meeting between Cambodian Minister of Commerce Cham Nimul and Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İBRAHİM YUMAKLI. at the 4th Joint Economic Commission meeting on Wednesday in Ankara, Turkey, Nimul said the two nations focused on the possibility of strengthening trade and investment cooperation between the two nations.
Promoting continued trade and investment in agricultural products, food processing, packaging, tourism, health, including medical equipment, etc, are the subjects for moving forwards, said Cham Nimul who is also the co-chair of the 4th Joint Economic Commission
During the meeting, the two sides, expressed their wills and joint position to continue strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation in all sectors for the better through the implementation of activities in accordance with the agreements set out in the meeting.
Trade in goods and services, agriculture, forestry and fisheries, civil aviation, transportation and infrastructure, education, investment, industry, science and technology, halal, water resources, tourism, health, and social security and vocational training are the important sectors and sub-sectors that the two countries focus on.
