Cambodia’s King and Queen Mother Meet Chinese President Xi Jinping

Phnom Penh (27 August 2025): Cambodia’s King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia and His Mother Queen Norodom Monineath Sihanouk met with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Chinese First Lady Peng Liyuan in Bejing, China.

Mao Ning, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, posted a message on his social media saying that the meeting was a great significance for China and Cambodia to stand firm together to overcome obstacles and join hands in accelerating the building of an all-round China-Cambodia community.

The two nations share future in the new era to bring greater benefits to the two peoples, Mao Ning wrote.
