Hun Sen says he’s not a leg-broken rabbit afraid of Thailand

Phnom Penh (9 August, 2012): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on Thursday said he never allows any foreign country to take the Cambodian territory but he tries his best to defend the motherland with the people.

Speaking to the National Assembly for long hours, he said “I do not want to make war but they must know Hun Sen much better. Hun Sen is not a leg-broken rabbit, The 100 hour fighting last year, they called for negotiation,” Hun Sen said refereeing the fighting between Cambodian and  Thai military since 2008.

During his 5-hour talk, Hun Sen said he never bows his head with foreigners but he tries his best to defend the country and the people living along the border. If those who say he makes the territory lost to foreign countries, it means that they are scorning and mocking at the Royal Government and Cambodian army, including the people along the border.

He said he was appointed former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra to be the Cambodian Government’s Economic Adviser in 2008 due to Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva at that time made an ally with the Cambodian opposition party.

Hun Sen said he wants to peacefully solve some remaining border problems with neighbouring countries. “Please do not use military like Abhisit to solve the border dispute,” he said.
