Hun Sen: Cambodia never discriminates but morality and humanitarian for COVID-19

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on Friday shows the world that Cambodia is kindly enough for humanity and morality as humanitarian act while some nations are rejecting help.

Speaking to 1,455 passengers and 802 crew with different nationalities, including Americans, on ship docked here in Sihanoukville international sea port, Premier Hun Sen warmly welcomes them saying that “Please enjoy your stay with us” with no discrimination. “These are morality and humanitarian acts we are to do.”

Those who are on ship can stay in Cambodia up to one month with free service and the government has prepared flights for them to visit Angkor Wat temples, the World heritage, he added by urging his Cambodians not to discriminate them.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, World Health Organization chief, and US ambassador to Cambodia also expressed their thanks to the Cambodian government for letting the Holland America owned MS Westerdam cruise ship, which has been not allowed to dock by 5 countries. The denial is due to corona virus disease (COVID-19).

The ship then spent two weeks at sea before finding its way to Cambodia on Thursday.

Still confusing with the death tools since the outbreak of COVID-19 in China but according to China’s National Health Commission, it stands at 1,367, and 59,804 cases.

COVID-19 firstly out-broke in Wuhan province, China, in late January and now spreads to more than 20 countries, becoming the global health issue.
