Cambodia’s Royal Palace Condemns Thailand’s Brutal Inhumane Acts

Phnom Penh (25 March 2025): Cambodia’s Royal Palace Ministry along with its both legislative and Executive bodies have strongly condemned the brutal inhumane acts of the Thai military who have been invading the Cambodian sovereignty and continuing to shell and bomb on innocent civilians in populated areas about 100km away from the border with Thailand.
The Thai invasion, using small and large weapons indiscriminately and indiscriminately, has injured several Cambodian civilians, destroyed many houses, and forced schoolchildren, the elderly, and men and women to immediately seek temporary safety, said the ministry.
“We call on the international community to strongly condemn the violation of the Joint Declaration on the Peace Agreement between Cambodia and Thailand and Thailand’s repeated illegal actions, demanding that Thailand be held fully accountable for these flagrant violations, and calling on Thailand to immediately cease all hostilities that threaten peace and stability in the region,” the ministry’s statement read.
The Thai side has to respect the ceasefire agreement, the Joint Declaration on the Peace Agreement, and all obligations under international law in a strict, honest, and genuine manner, and to adhere to the peaceful resolution of disputes in accordance with international law as well as existing treaties, conventions, and agreements, and to oppose the use of armed force in order to find a just, just, lasting, and consistent solution in accordance with international law, the ministry added.
