Cambodian Senate President Tells His Country’s Armed Forces to Fight Back The Thai Invaders

Phnom Penh (9 December 2025): Cambodian Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen on tells his country’s military men fighting in the frontline that he is staying with them at all times.
“I, the top 5 star general Hun Sen, and Prime Minister Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei, are always with you without rest. I am not tired here. You are much harder than me to protect our ancestral land and people,” Hun Sen wrote on his Facebook page on Tuesday morning.
“After more than 24 hours of patience to respect the ceasefire and need time to evacuate people to a safe area. Yesterday evening, we responded by adding last night and this morning,” Hun Sen wrote adding that according to Thai Prime Minister Anutin, Thai military would use force to attack 11 points along the border “We [Cambodians] are not sure where these 11 points are? To make it easier and not difficult to find a place, all kinds of our armed forces must attack every point that the enemy attacks.
“We defend our territory with strong trenches with all kinds of weapons. The aggressors must move to attack our positions. They cannot take the trenches, and their heads are not covered with iron. This situation gives us the opportunity to implement the strategy of destroying the enemy’s living force through counterattacks,” Hun Sen wrote.
The Thai army chief announced that for the security of the Thai people, the capacity of the Cambodian national defense force must be destroyed for a long time and such words sound like Thailand is more powerful than the powerful weapon nations in the world, Hun Sen said adding that “We will not sit back and let you destroy as you please…..Cambodia needs peace, but Cambodia is forced to fight back to defend our territory.”
The Ministry of National Defense on Tuesday morning also announced that the Thai troops launched heavy fire into the Cambodian territory in almost all battlefields in Preah Vihear, Oddar Meanchey, and Banteay Meanchey provinces, and expanded the battlefield to Thma Da commune, Veal Veng district, Pursat province, and that the Thai military continued to fire non-stop, almost all night, in the 5th Military Region from 4:58 to 5:25, using large drones to fly reconnaissance into the area of Phanom Trangorl after spraying poisonous smoke over the area.
The ministry also declared that the two-day attacing from Thailand cuased at least 7 innocent civilians were killed and 20 others were injured while tens of thousands have been displaced and nearly 400 schools in four provinces along the border with Thailand were closed and more than3000 teachers with 78,585 students affected.
Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet on Monday ordered his government officials and soldiers to protect the people and territorial integrity of Cambodia’s sovereign territory saying that “Please, all ministries, institutions, authorities at all levels, all types of armed forces, and all Cambodian citizens, unite for the cause of the nation and the homeland during this difficult period.”
