Khieu Kanharith: If Court doesn’t allow Journalists to take photo, it should be well-told

(Phnom Penh): H.E Khieu Kanharith Minister reached to the case that the court stops allowing journalists using cameras at the Phnom Penh Municipal Court yesterday. He said routinely The Court has allowed journalists to shoot so far, but if it wants to change this, the Court should be well-told the reporters.
Yesterday police guard The Phnom Penh Municipal Court dismissed reporters from entering and taking any photos in Municipal Court, arguing that it is a decision from the top. After this enforcement happens, the media criticized the Court did not set clear principles with reporters.
However, a spokesman for the Phnom Penh Municipal Court, Mr. Ly Sophana claims that courts are looking for the solutions to improve the performance of the profession altogether. He said, ‘We are reviewing and discussing the matter in order to find appropriate solutions and mechanisms for the benefit of the profession altogether.
Mr. Ly Sophana also plans to meet with the journalist assigned to report in court to resolve this matter as well.
