Cambodian young siblings become couple
Phnom Penh (Sept 12, 2013): A widow living in Phnom Penh on Thursday surprised her neighbours by holding a wedding ceremony for her own son and daughter who are the twin. Some 30 guests joined the wedding party at lunch time.
Marn Sophany, the single mother of the twin, said the siblings are 12 years-old and she decides to get them married because she believes the two were the couple in the past life.
“Before my pregnancy, I dreamed that a couple who much loved each other and died together. Then, they asked me to stay with me so that I believe that they were couple in the previous life. So I let them get married,” she added.
When asked how their honeymoon could happen, the mother did not make any comment. (By Neang/Cambodia News & New Youth)
