Kem Sokha has called on the courts to end his political intentions

(Phnom Penh): Kem Sokha, acting president of the Cambodia National Rescue Party has called on the courts on his intention to end his political life. The statement came on the morning of 09 September 2016, while the Phnom Penh Municipal Court trial on his case, which was accused of refusing to enter it under Article 538 of the Penal Code.

In a statement to the public, after hiding in the headquarters for more than 3 months earlier, Mr. Kem Sokha, also announced that the courts on him, as well as leaders of the CNRP, which is the opposition’s largest in Cambodia, will also affect the electoral process as well. He said that if no leaders of the Cambodia National Rescue Party present, the results can not be accepted.

However, Mr. Kem Sokha and still remain in dialogue with the ruling party to end the conflicts and then lead to the national unity.
