Cambodia continues to seek for blood donation to save human lives

Phnom Penh: A group of health officials of the Cambodian Health Ministry and the World health organization (WHO) on 12 June appealed the Cambodians to more contribute their blood in order to save lives of victims.

Speaking at a ceremony to mark the Blood Donation Day, Health Minister Mom Bunheng said the ceremony is held to pay gratitude to all blood donors and to encourage more people to donate blood as it is the humanitarian act.

WHO representative also said Cambodia in 2012 had only 30 percent and it expects that the number will be increased up to 100% by 2020. (Phal Sovann Vathey/Cambodia News)
