Cambodia PM: Peace is Put above All Else
Phnom Penh (30 May 2025): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet on Friday shared his nation’s experience of successful war end and the ongoing efforts to preserve peace up today.
“Ïn Cambodia, we put peace above all else. It took Cambodia 30 years to end our past war. Based on this experience, it is imperative to protect existing peace, rather than to restore the peace that has already been lost,” the Prime Minister said at the Nikkei Forum 30th Future of Asia in Tokyo, Japan, with the theme “Asia’s Challenge in a Turbulent World”, the Prime Minister said Cambodia
In his remarks LIVE on his Facebook page, Hun Manet stated that all countries share common responsibility not to put their countries and people into a situation of war, and not to provoke wars or chaos that could jeopardise peace.”
