Phnom Penh (23 December 2025): The Cambodia’s Ministry of National Defence again on Tuesday said Thailand’s use of all types of heavy and destructive weapons and equipment, including F-16 fighter jets, DTI-2, advanced drones, Cluster bombs and toxic gas, and the deployment of a large number of troops to encroach on Cambodian territory is a clear and irrefutable proof of Thai violation of the United Nations Charter, the ASEAN Charter and the basic principles of international law.

“Such irresponsible and illegal actions undoubtedly pose a grave danger not only to regional peace and stability, but also to the very foundations of international order,” the ministry statement said adding that in this sense, Cambodia calls on the international community to strongly condemn Thailand’s violations of the Joint Declaration and its repeated war crimes and unlawful activities, as well as to demand that Thailand must take full responsibility for such brazen violations.

Cambodia urges that Thailand immediately stop all hostile activities and withdraw its forces from Cambodia’s territorial integrity, and avoid acts of incursion and aggression that threaten peace and stability in the region as a whole.

According to the Cambodian Ministry of Interior on Tuesday, due to the Thai invasion, some 544.685 people, including 285.532 women and 174.006 children, have been displaced, 18 (1 infant) killed and more than 70 others injured.

So far, Thai military have destroyed villages’ homes, schools, pagoda, ancient temples, bridges, roads, hotels, administrative and commercial buildings in the sovereign territory of Cambodia.
