Over $30 billion for the first six-moth Trade of Cambodia with global markets

For the first half of the year 2025, Cambodia’s trade with the international markets reached more than US$30 billion indicating that it has increased up to 17.2% if compared to the same period last year, which was over $26 billion.

From January to June 2025, Cambodia exported goods worth over $14.29 billion, up to 16.2% while the imports of goods was worth US$16.27 billion with up 18% increased if compared to the same period of 2024, according to a report of the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia (GDCEC).

China remains Cambodia’s leading trading partner with some US$9.27 billion, of which Cambodia exported more than $750 million to China, while China imported more than $8.5 billion to Cambodia, the report read.

Following China, the United States comes to the second place with the two sides achieving a trade volume of nearly $5.6 billion which increased 25.7% while Cambodia exported over $5.5 billion to the United States, said the GDCEC report adding that the United States imported more than $164 million to Cambodia.

The report also said that Cambodia has also exchanged and grown with major countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Canada, Spain, Indonesia, and the United Kingdom.
