Cambodian government’s donation policy during the epidemic

Phnom Penh (Sat 10 April 2021) ៖ Cambodian government’s donation policy during the epidemic:

– The families whose members passed away due to COVID-19, to get maximum discount for water and electricity bills for 5 months. Plus 30 riels (US$70) per family with 25kg of rice, 1 case of packed noodle and 20 can-fish for each family.

– The families whose members get COVID-19 positive, to get maximum discount for water and electricity bills for 3 months. Plus 25kg of rice, 1 case of packed noodle and 20 can-fish for each family.

– The families who are in the lockdown areas due to COVID-19 epidemic, to get maximum discount for water and electricity bills for 2 months. Plus 25kgs of rice, 1 case of packed noodle and 20 can-fish for each family. However, for the rich who are in the lockdown areas, they kindly never get such donation.

For the bank loans, the government also asked the bank owners to delay payment (one Month) with no interest, and fining for any clients who get COVID-19 positive. The banks should never confiscate any property from their clients for the time being while they are getting punished by COVID-19, not more by banks.
