Cambodia has its first international standard for hemodialysis treatment from kidney disease
Phnom Penh (1 October 2018): Hemodialysis is a method that is used to achieve the extracorporeal removal of waste products such as creatinine and urea and free water from the blood when the kidneys fail to work. Before hemodialysis was available, total kidney failure meant death. Today, people with kidney failure can live because of hemodialysis.
The Hemodialysis Clinic at KHEMA International Polyclinic, officially launched on 1 October 2018, is providing quality hemodialysis treatment to patients suffering from kidney disease in Cambodia following international best practices. The center welcomes referrals as well as patients visiting from overseas.
The Hemodialysis Clinic is managed by an experienced, caring team of medical professionals in collaboration with a team of specialists from Taiwan. It is also equipped with advanced facilities and a comfortable treatment environment. Dr Oum Sopheap, Director of KHEMA International Polyclinic, said “Our Hemodialysis Clinic is capable to offer the same quality and standard of dialysis as those in the region, because the machines, technologies and level of expertise are all the same.” Prof. Duujian Tsai, President of Health Asia, Co., Ltd. who closely collaborates with KHEMA International Polyclinic on the setup and operations of the Clinic has confirmed that the Hemodialysis Clinic follows the International Best Practices in setting up and operations. It can, of course, provide Hemodialysis therapy as those in Taiwan, Japan and Singapore.”
