Cambodian star banned for public show for a year due to almst naked

Phnom Penh (26 April, 2017): Dany Kwan, a Cambodian pop star who often wears nearly naked, has been banned this week by the Ministry of Culture not to perform in public such as on any TV, concert, movie and other public performance for a year. The ministry said she has damaged the country’s proper culture and the image of Cambodian women due to her wearing.
The ministry warned her once for her sexy clothes after getting criticism from the cultural extremists but she ignored. The one-year ban started from April 25, 2017 and the warn is a signal to other Khmer stars who like wearing sexy clothes.
In her recent action, she said sexy ladies are not the worth persons and do not affect the society.
